the fog is lifting

this week, the most evil stomach virus in all of the land reduced me to stinky lifeless zombie mommy. it hasn't been the greatest way to start the new year but tonight there was a full moon and tomorrow is another day. not quite brimming with vitality just yet but the letters are beginning to form words and the words are well on their way to becoming thoughts and ideas. I'm hoping they'll all have a little 'welcome back' party in my head. you know, throw down, get loose. mix and mingle and dance on top of tables topless and do what they do best. nothing fancy. also hoping for: color back in my cheeks and the will to get back in the game.

  1. ewww. i cant believe how sickness attacks once you have kids. it used to be we'd have the occasional cold--but never a stomach virus. almost every family with kids that i know starts getting the stomach virus once their child is old enough to be around other kids.

so sorry the sickness cloud has loomed above you all for so long. hopefully this will be the end of it. we still havent celebrated Christmas with you!

  8. girl, even when you are sick you can still form fresh sentences like most couldn't when they are well. glad to hear you are feeling better. i had the flu last spring and it knocked me out so hard i was questioning whether i could ever come back. the flu is not our friend. hope each minute brings you closer to your healthy, vibrant self. :)

  10. Welcome back from the land of the dead, zombie-mom! Good thing that antidote worked, otherwise you might have started munching on the neighbors. That wouldn't be pretty. Just think of the gossip that would get around the neighborhood.

But seriously, glad you're feeling back to your imaginative, blog-tastic self. I loved the alphabet throw-down you envisioned. My friend "J" was there. He saw "A" doing a booty-bump off "B" in the bathroom hallway.

  11. thanks everyone...! feeling good feels so... good.

justin, your friend 'J' was right. 'A' WAS doing the booty bump off of 'B'. had to get on to her and tell her to tone it down. 'W' was just around the corner and she was bumpin booties with 'B'? so wrong.
